This course is compulsory for the students who are taking the following courses:
Summer Program in English Ⅰ, Summer Program in English Ⅱ, Summer Program in EnglishⅢ
If there is a special reason for that the student cannot take this course, contact the Ocha Summer Office (ocha-summer@cc.ocha.ac.jp) . This class will be conducted in English; therefore, it is necessary that the students have a comprehensive level of English.

| 主題と目標 |
Leadership is a skill that is learnable, and it is needed more than ever in this world that changes so constantly. However, it turns difficult to acquire leadership skills when it is in a multicultural environment. Japan is experiencing a new phase in terms of internationalization. The number of foreign citizens is increasing these years, and the government is also accelerating this phenomenon by taking policies that allow many foreign workers to come to Japan. Leadership with a multicultural mind is what Japan needs to maintain a sustainable development and to include migrants in diverse fields such as education, the labor market, local society, and so on. In this class, students are going to learn about the immigrational situation of Japan, and they will work thinking about what is important to a multicultural nation to keep harmony and leave no one behind.

The students are required to work in pairs and groups for the preparation of the final presentation. Therefore, students need to e-meet in their suitable time to make their presentations. There are assignments for the Special Lectures.
